Foundation In Graphic Design
The Foundation in Graphic Design aims to provide an educational foundation for those eventually wishing to pursue careers as Graphic Design professionals. The specialized studies offered are directly relevant to individual vocations and professions in which students will be working. They are also tailored to fit the student’s intent to progress to a Diploma or equivalent programme.
The course provides learners with a creative and systematic plan to solve a problem or achieve certain objectives, with the use of images, symbols or even words. It further exposes learners to visual communication, aesthetic expression of concepts and ideas using various graphic elements and tools.
At the end of the programme, learners develop the basic professional skills needed by businesses using Graphic Design systems. The course is intended for students who would like to learn more about Graphic Design and Information Technology, as well as those interested in eventually working as Designers, Animation Designers, in Multimedia including Play Station Development.
The Foundation in Graphic Design is designed to equip students with the knowledge, understanding and relevant skills required for progression to a Diploma in Graphic Design programme or other equivalent programmes. It is also meant to bridge students who have not met the minimum entry requirements to the Diploma Programme.
The course exposes students to the general areas in Graphic Design that will enable them identify and specialize in their areas of interest which include Print Media and Production, Web Multimedia Systems Development, fashion design among other Graphic Design areas.
Course Duration and Timetable
The Foundation in Graphic Design runs for a period of 2 terms over 8 months in either full time or part-time mode (Evenings / Saturday).
Monday – Friday 8.30 Am-10.30 Am, 11.00 Am -1.00 Pm, 2.00 Pm-4.00 Pm, 5:30 Pm-8:00 Pm
Saturday (Part time) 8.30 Am-10.30 Am, 11.00 Am -1.00 Pm

Completing the admission process
1. Complete the admission form (available at the college or downloadable at www.inteluni.ac.ke)
2. Certified copies of academic credentials AND 2 passport size photos
3. Admission fee payment of KShs 10,000/- (ten thousand shillings only) by cash deposit direct to the college account or by cheque payment, or by MPESA (PAYBILL)

INtel College collaborates with the University of Sunderland, UK and also serves as their Regional Centre. The University offers a degree in Computing, and in Business at INtel College. This is an Honours level Programme and the Programme is approved to run at INtel College by the Commission for University Education (CUE), Kenya. The relationship between INtel College and the University of Sunderland dates as far back as 1999, when the University joined hands with INtel, based on their commitment to quality in education.
Proof of that lies in the fact that in 2005, The University of Sunderland, UK recognized INtel College as their ‘Best International Centre for Academic Excellence’. The University of Sunderland further approved running 2 Masters degrees Programmes in 2012(MSc. IT Management and MSc. Project Management) in addition to MBA programme that has been running for some time. The University of Sunderland only runs programmes at reputable experienced institutions. The University has started offering Masters in Information Technology Management (MSc. ITM) and Masters in Project Management that have been approved by the Commission of University Education (CUE) and are registered with both NITA and MOHEST.
